Before all of the Mario games take place, Mario is dead. But with the help of a god, he is able to stop an upcoming threat to The Mushroom Kingdom that could change history forever.

Long before this, a demonic god named Akuma has taken Mother Brain from the dimension of Super Metroid and has cloned Mother Brain in order to make an alien army to rule The Boardered Kingdoms. They were unstoppable for a while. However, ancient people of The Mushroom Kingdom sent them into the future to prevent them from causing harm to their timeline. But that doesn't mean they're gone for good...
